CDC Update for Vaccinated People

The CDC has a web page titled, “Safer Activities for You and Your Family”.

The purpose of the web page is to share their advice for those of us who have already gotten the Covid-19 vaccine. They take an upbeat take and let us know that now that we are vaccinated we are able to participate in many more activities than we were able to do without a vaccine during this period of time.

That said the CDC wants us to know that to have maximum protection from the Delta variant and to prevent the possible spread of the virus to others, the CDC is suggesting that we wear a mask indoors in public if we are in an area that has a “substantial or high transmission”.

For those individuals that have a compromised or weakened immune system or those patients with medical conditions, the CDC is saying that wearing a mask is important to prevent these people from getting Covid 19 when they have yet to be vaccinated.

President Biden is going to recommend that the CDC recommendation for the indoor wearing of masks and areas where it is likely to spread, they may recommend wearing masks for all people.
